The second season of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners has a launch window, as Netflix confirmed over the weekend that the show will be arriving in Fall 2026. Alongside the confirmation of this new season running for 10 episodes, Netflix also shared a few details on the new chooms that viewers will meet--and hopefully things end better for them than they did for David Martinez and the rest of his gang.

Edgerunners 2 features a new roster of outcasts looking to make their mark in Night City, starting with Weak Kinglsey, a washed-up edgerunner who still dwells on the glory days. Then there's D, a young man from the Snake Nation nomads looking to find the killers of his family, the chromed-up thrillseeker Talia Yang, and the cinephile Roman Carax, who rounds out this new gang of misfits. Once again animated by Studio Trigger (Kill la Kill and Delicious in Dungeon), the new series has been described as even darker and grittier than its predecessor. The first season of Edgerunners was a massive hit when it first launched several years ago, escaping the confines of Netflix with comic book and manga spin-offs, a board game, video game crossovers, and Cyberpunk 2077 DLC. Video game adaptations have been a key part of Netflix's portfolio over the last couple of years, as the streaming platform also hosts well-received shows like Castlevania, Devil May Cry, and Arcane.

Meanwhile, development on Cyberpunk 2 is in full swing at CD Projekt Red, and according to one job listing, it could include online multiplayer. As for the original game, Cyberpunk 2077 has been regularly updated over the years with new gameplay features, and it recently got a PS5 Pro upgrade.
