A Disney store in London has nopeād out of selling the latest Lorcana drop after a massive swarm of fans lined up for blocks outside the building, with some even getting āaggressiveā toward other players.
The newest Lorcana drop is kind of a big deal. The Curatorās Collection: Heroines Edition features some of the brandās most famous faces, including Ariel, Anna, Elsa, Jasmine, Mulan, and more.
Understandably, this makes it one of the more popular card drops in the series ā but a Disney store on Oxford Street, London was unprepared for exactly how popular the collection would be.

UK fans took to social media with photos of the scene, showing throngs of players lined up for at least four blocks outside the location nearly 12 hours before doors opened on July 17. And on launch day, things got even more hectic.
As told by user DazRollsDice on X, āscalpers and gangsā in attendance exhibited āviolent, aggressive behavior,ā saying they were ātaking over the queue and pushing to the frontā of the store.
As a result, the Disney Oxford store formally canceled the event, even deciding to keep the location closed āuntil further notice.ā

In a statement posted to its official X account, the location promised to share more information on how guests can purchase the collection āas soon as possible,ā thanking fans for their āpatience and understanding.ā
Oxford Street isnāt the only Disney store suffering from a massive influx of collectors hoping to get their hands on the card set; Downtown Disneyland in California is similarly drowning in lines of fans crowded throughout the theme park, as shown in footage shared online by fans.
Even Disneyland Paris isnāt exempt from the fervor, with videos showing scalpers sprinting through the park to snag a set.

Thus far, Disney itself has not issued a statement addressing the issue, leaving players distraught. If itās any comfort, Lorcana is far from the only TCG suffering from a scalper epidemic; One Piece fans and Pokemon players are also hard up dealing with scalpers tilting the market, with some even reselling Pokemon-themed Pop Tarts for upwards of $25 online.
Luckily, some companies are taking a stand against resellers, with Japanese company Bic Cameraās Tokyo branch knowledge-chacking would-be buyers with a quiz before they can purchase a Pokemon TCG card pack.
