Taking the stage in London this time, the Samsung team just announced their latest product drops, and we’ve pulled together all you need to know about them.

They could be in your hands as soon as the 7th August, and to guarantee you get them on launch day, they’re available to pre-order now.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra

First up this time round was the Samsung Z Fold8 Ultra. Their thinnest yet, clocking at just 4.1mm thick when unfolded, it has a lightness to match at just 215 grams. This slender form factor comes without compromise though, thanks to Samsung’s proprietary Flex Titanium technology. 20 times stiffer yet just a third of the width of a human hair, when working in tandem with their Armor FlexHinge it reduces visible creasing whilst remaining as slim and flexible as you would hope.

With a 5,000 mAh battery - the largest ever in a Galaxy Fold - this premium handset can play up to 27 hours of video, and charge from 0 to 67% in just 30 minutes. That video will look great too, with a higher-than-before resolution, 3,000 nits brightness, and their low reflection display finish on a foldable for the first time.

As always with Samsung, the cameras here are no slouches, with both 200MP for clarity and 50MP for ultra-wide. Powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chipset, and with all their latest integrated AI support from tools such as Nightography and the Advanced ProVisual Engine, the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra gives you exactly what you would expect from the latest Samsung handset.

AI Integration

As you’d expect, the presentation kicked off with shout outs to their Agentic AI, which promises (and delivers on) less searching, less switching between apps, to create a frictionless transition between previously separate areas of functionality.

Starting at £1,899, the Fold8 Ultra comes in Violet Shadow, Graphite, Cream and Green Shadow.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8

Meanwhile the Galaxy Z Fold8 gives the world the lightest fold ever, with a satisfying 4:3 ratio when opened, great for FOV for gaming in landscape mode, and as a natural fit for reading when held portrait.

Much was made during this section of the livestream of My FanCam, a valuable new feature which can take any video and customise it to place you front and centre. Choose which person is the focus, select the aspect ratio you’d like to share, and the Fold 8 will generate a 21st Century Pan-and-Scan edit on the fly that keeps you front and centre, regardless of the original’s framing.

The lightest Fold ever, it starts at £1,699 and can be yours in Lavender, Graphite, Cream or Pistachio!

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip8

Onto our third foldable, the delightful Flip 8, coming in at just 180 grams. That more square form factor was rightfully the focus, and Samsung haven’t rested on their laurels here. With its new, improved FlexWindow, the front screen now makes full use of that edge to edge display, allowing you to do far more without unfolding than previously. Apps now run on it in full screen, and you’ll be regularly kept abreast of whatever’s important to you with the custom alerts from NowBrief. No longer just a hub for widgets and notifications, you can get the functionality you need, faster.

The camera experience has also gone up a notch thanks to Camcorder Grip - exclusive to this form factor - allowing you to hold the device in your palm. Offering stable one-handed recording, when combined with Super Steady’s horizontal lock, you can capture clean, smooth shots without compromising on the action. That, plus Dual Recording, which captures both the creator and the subject in the same video, make this a perfect handset for burgeoning creatives. Not to mention spider-man, who made a surprising cameo during this segment with his friend Ned (actor Jacob Batalon).

Beginning at a modest £1,149 which belies the power under the hood, this handset comes in Pink, Graphite, Cream and Mint.

Watches

As well as improvements to both Samsung Care+ and Samsung Wallet, wearables also got a look in, firstly with the Galaxy Watch9. Unsurprisingly, given the comprehensive data it’s now able to capture from the wearer, health was the focus, with its new Sleep Apnea identification functionality proving robust enough to be granted FDA approval.

Partnerships were key with the wearables, with iFit offering subscription-based workout content targeted to whatever level you need, integrated into the device and its functionality.

Meanwhile, on the Watch Ultra 2, Samsung is working with Mares to offer premium features that even the most advanced divers would appreciate. By far the most powerful watch yet, not only does it have the highest possible level of water ingress protection, IP69K, it also has a 10 ATM rating, and is the first watch to meet EN13319 standard for diving accessories. Not without merit, they describe this new premium offering as “the ultimate dive computer”.

For wearable fans, the Watch 9 starts at £349 (or £399 for its LTE variant), with the Ultra 2 coming in at £649.
