If there’s ever a sign that a deal is excellent, it’s the sheer number of games I’m adding to my ever-growing backlog. I live in fear of opening my Steam library, getting stared down by a long list of zero-hour titles begging me to play, only to see another handful of keys dropped into it. Fanatical’s Best of Killer Bundle is one of those times, and while I know I’ll have to deal with the backlog, sadly for those left-out games, this is an essential deal for me.

That’s because at five games for $5.99 / £5.99, it’s too good to pass up. Full of carnage-filled experiences, chaotic gunplay, and the classic X-ray kills of Sniper Elite, for just over a buck a game, you don’t want to miss offers like these. Trust me, one day you’ll be wishing you had something to play, stumble across one of these underrated gems, and then, you can thank me later.

With 24 games to choose from, choice paralysis is a very real problem. Fortunately, I’ve played many of these (thanks to previous Killer Bundles), and I have some recommendations. First is Chernobylite, a STALKER-like experience that sees you explore the radioactive Chornobyl Exclusion Zone, along with all the supernatural occurrences you’d expect. It’s a great blend of horror, action, and RPG elements that should tide you over until Metro 2039 or another STALKER entry.

There are three Sniper Elite games to choose from here, including Sniper Elite 5 (which we gave an 8/10 in our review), Sniper Elite 4, and Sniper Elite V2 Remastered. They’re all solid if you enjoy finding the perfect vantage point and landing a shot that only the most experienced sniper could make. That X-ray kill cam never gets old, even after multiple entries in the series. If you want a little less Nazi and a little more undead, Zombie Army Trilogy and Zombie Army 4 are also included.

For Doom fans, Postal: Brain Damaged is exactly what you’re looking for. It takes the age-old boomer shooter formula and drops it into the twisted mind of the Postal Dude, making for an experience that’s as cathartic as it is disgusting. The silky-smooth gunplay and energetic combat keep the adrenaline flowing. Considering how poorly Postal 4 was received, especially compared to the cult-classic Postal 2, Brain Damaged feels like the direction the series should continue in. For around $1.20, it’s a steal.

If you’re looking to grab a stack of Steam keys for excellent games on the cheap, the Fanatical Best of Killer Bundle brings together many of the standout games from previous bundles. You can get five games for just $5.99 / £5.99, but buying more lowers the price even further - 20 or more games work out to just 95¢ / 95p each.
