Jumanji is rolling the dice for one last adventure, and ahead of its release later this year, you can check out the new trailer for the upcoming film.

Once again featuring the familiar quartet of Dwayne Johnson, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillian, and Jack Black as the film series' video game avatars--who have somehow escaped into the real world and are acting like TikTok IRL NPCs--Jumanji: Open World is the final chapter in the trilogy that includes 2017's Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and 2019's Jumanji: The Next Level.

"Our heroes have escaped the perilous jungles of Jumanji before, but this time Jumanji breaks free of its console, unleashing its chaos into our world," the official synopsis for the movie reads.

Alongside the primary cast--who pull double-duty by switching personalities once they're back in the game--Jumanji: Open World also stars Alex Wolff, Madison Iseman, Morgan Turner, Ser’Darius Blain, Rhys Darby, Nick Jonas, and Danny DeVito. The previous two films have been blockbusters, grossing a combined $1.7 billion at the global box office--and we all know how Johnson is in dire need of a hit movie following a string of high-profile flops like 2022's Black Adam and the live-action version of Moana, where he reprised his role as the egotistical demigod Maui.

Jumanji: Open World officially hits US theaters on December 25. The film was initially scheduled to arrive a little sooner, but the one-two punch of Dune: Part 3 and Avengers: Doomsday saw those plans change.

It's a good time to be a fan of movies inspired by video games, as two more will arrive before the new Jumanji does. Zach Cregger's brutally bloody reimagining of Resident Evil is out first in September, and it'll be followed by Street Fighter in October.
