Pengisi suara Leon Kennedy mengatakan Metallica, Nirvana membantu membentuk penampilannya untuk karakter Resident Evil

Nick Apostolides revealed the bands he listened to that helped shape his portrayal of Leon Kennedy in each of the Resident Evil Remake games, sharing some surprising picks from his playlist.
Apostolides shared the info in a Cameo video to a fan in July 2026, saying he listened to a lot of metal and grunge while filming for each game.
More specifically, he associated RE2 Leon with Nirvana, RE4 Leon with Alice in Chains, and RE9 Leon with classic Metallica.
āI actually take a lot of deep inspiration in my acting through music to get into the right mindset,ā he explained. And for Leon, that apparently means banging his head to the Seattle Sound.
While he didnāt āthink too much about itā while recording for Resident Evil 2, Apostolides says he listened to a lot of Nirvana at the time, saying their āgrunge, rock energy was good for younger Leon.ā
He described Alice in Chains as a āhugeā inspiration for how he handled Leon in Resident Evil 4, specifically naming songs like Them Bones and Would, as well as music from the groupās later albums like The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here. (Yes, thatās the albumās real name, and itās fantastic. Youāll thank me for putting you on.)

Resident Evil Requiem, the seriesā latest installment, is the oldest Leon has ever been ā and so, he has old man tastes, with Apostolides saying he listened to āclassic, 1980s Metallicaā to get into character.
āThat super heavy, fast, lockstep rhythms and stuff like that. I was using a lot in that song āOrion.ā That is my favorite song of all time. ā¦I had that in my head. Itās just such a heavy riff, and thereās so much behind that song about why they wrote it, how they wrote it. I just love it.ā
Fans are, predictably, going gaga over this information, which is just the latest tidbit from Apostolides about his time playing Leon. Earlier this month, the actor said Capcom unfortunately decided to cut what would have been his āfavoriteā line in Requiem ā and yes, itās a corny one-liner.
