To paraphrase Wang Chung, we are in our Big Deal Days, love. With prices going crazy on PCs and laptops, because of the price of memory and GPUS, peripherals are one place where there should be good discounts, so we're hoping for some good Prime Day gaming mice deals this season. Amazon's October Prime Day is rolling around next week, with the event starting on Tuesday and running through until the end of play Wednesday. As always, however, every other retailer is jumping on the discounts bandwagon and timing a sale to coincide with Mr. Bezos' own event.
We're PC gamers, so the best gaming mice are our bread and butter, we spend a lot of time through the year testing the latest mice and the latest tech, so check out our guide to get an idea of what might be the right one for you. When is October Prime Day 2026?
Amazon's October Prime Day, AKA Big Deal Days, starts on October 6, and runs though until the end of October 7. The deals are rolling in before then, though, and will be spread out across various retailers following Amazon's lead.

Retro R8 | Wireless: was $49.99 now $44.21 Our James reviewed the 8BitDo Retro R8, giving it an 87%, and for good reason. It's a mouse with a super unique look, good specs for the price, and it even comes with a cute charging stand. The retro feel is definitely something to get used to, with buttons that are sunken into the mouse itself, but it's a joy to use regardless.

DeathAdder V3 HyperSpeed | Wireless: was $99.99 now $79.99 Simple, lightweight, fast and accurate. What more do you need from a gaming mouse? Because it eschews all the fancy gadgets that so many mice have these days, you save a bundle of cash and get a really long battery life.
G Pro 2 Lightspeed | Wireless: was $149.99 now $109.98 Though it doesn't quite look as impressive as the Superlight 2, the G Pro 2 Lightspeed matches the same internals and is truly ambidextrous, thanks to swappable side buttons.

This HP machine is a pretty compelling contender, what with its 20-core (eight Performance, 12 Efficient) Intel chip and what appears to be a full-wattage RTX 5070. That mobile graphics chip should fly on a 1200p display, and it's also got the requisite 16 GB of DDR5 and 1 TB SSD to boot. All wrapped up in a tidy chassis design. Nice.
