Pokémon Pokopia Mengumumkan Acara Halloween dengan Item dan Habitat Baru yang Seram

Pokémon Pokopia has revealed what players can expect from its first Halloween-themed event, “Pumpkaboo’s Sweet Surprises.”

The limited-time event will run from 5am on October 17 until November 1, based on your Switch 2 system’s clock. (Looking at you, time travelers.) Pumpkaboo’s Sweet Surprises will follow a similar structure to previous events, featuring new Pokémon, decorations, and habitats, which require players to get their hands on a new currency: candy.

As the event’s title suggests, Pumpkaboo will be the star of Pokopia’s Halloween show. Starting on October 17, players will be able to start the event by talking to the dual-type Pokémon outside of finished Town Centers. Pumpkaboo will have plenty of new spooky items to trade, but he'll ask for some pumpkin candy in exchange.

We don't know the exact lineup of new items being added to the game, but promotional images show Jack-O-Lanterns, spooky trees, and a glowing ghost decoration.

How do you collect the candy to get these items? Well, players will need to have at least started the Bleak Beach area to get Zorua’s Camouflage ability. During the event, players will be able to use Camouflage to play tricks on their Pokémon, turning into their favorite items and then surprising them with their true Ditto form. Yep, your Pokémon will reward you for scaring and disappointing them.

Like previous events, some of the new Halloween-themed items can be used to build a new habitat. This time around, players can work toward building the habitat for Pumpkaboo’s evolution, Gourgeist. Both Pokémon will hang around after the event ends, giving players the chance to permanently add some spookier Ghost-types to their Pokopia areas.

We've had nothing but praise for Pokopia since it first launched, highlighting its "surprisingly deep world" in our original 9/10 review. With the cadence of updates, that world seems to just keep getting bigger. The previous in-game event, Fetching Scales for Feeba, was released soon after the massive 2.0 update and Bubbly Basin DLC.
