2026 marks a big year in the Pokémon calendar, with it being the 30th anniversary of the release of the original games in Japan. To mark the celebration, The Pokémon Company is releasing not only a "Pokémon 30" celebration expansion later this year, but also has an ongoing "First Partner Collection" series releasing throughout the year as well.
These have been a little hard to come by, up until now, but Series 2 of the "First Partner Collection" has recently been restocked at Amazon. I'll leave a link to it just below before we discuss any further, in case you want to lock in your order ASAP.
Listed for $56.98, Amazon is smack bang on the $50-60 average order value at trusted resale sites like TCGplayer right now (listed median price is $55.98).
It's slightly above the ongoing market rate of $49.07, but that's discounting the potential cost of delivery, or any spare Amazon gift cards or credit you might have saved up as well. But if TCGplayer suits you better, buying from there is just as good an option as well.
Still, it is worth noting that both of these are still above the MSRP, with Amazon opting to sell closer to the "market price" instead. That's basically what most people are currently, or willing, to pay for it on average.
The Pokémon TCG: First Partner Illustration Collection - Series 2 includes:
- 1 Pokémon TCG booster pack containing 3 of 9 promo cards
- 2 Pokémon TCG booster packs
- 1 sticker sheet
Pokémon TCG: Best Deals Today
If you're looking for even more deals on Pokémon TCG, then Amazon has also recently restocked Chaos Rising booster displays and bundles, alongside a trusted third-party seller, "BetterShopping4You," having the ETBs in stock for under $90.
You can also find both the Mega Moonlit and the Mega Charizard Tin for under $50 each. Both of those are under or matching the market price as well, compared to TCGplayer, so you're getting them at the best price possible.
There's also Prismatic Evolution Elite Trainer Boxes going for just under $175 at Amazon right now. That's under market price, and well worth picking up while stock lasts.
