Resident Evil Requiem Baru Saja Dapat Diskon Besar, Tapi Hanya Dua Hari

Resident Evil Requiem is one of the best horror games you can play right now. As a certified Resident (I'm assuming that's what fans of the series are called?), Requiem honors the survival horror of the earlier entries while building on the dread that Resident Evil 7 and Village captured. It's the best of both worlds, but less Hannah Montana and more Evil Dead. There's nothing quite like scaring yourself silly, and what's truly terrifying is how cheap the latest entry is right now—but you don't have long to buy it.

Playing as two protagonists, the swift-kicking, random-flipping Leon Kennedy and the anxious but extremely capable Grace Ashcroft, Resident Evil Requiem tells a familiar story for the series. Evil mastermind with a zombified face? Check. Creepy manor-like environments and scientists who have gone too far? Check. A mountain of bullets and plenty of infected to use them on? Absolutely. Mechanically and thematically, it doesn't stray far from the series' DNA, but it does so in a way that satisfies both newcomers and longtime fans.

Leon’s sections lean into the Resident Evil 4 era of the series, bringing back an over-the-shoulder perspective with horror elements that still force you to manage your resources, while also letting you block a chainsaw with a Bowie knife. It's more action-focused than ever, but you'll still panic if you run out of ammunition, so it's worth saving a few bullets in favor of a good old roundhouse kick.

Grace, on the other hand, is thrown into a world of infected humans and strange happenings by accident. As an FBI analyst sent to investigate the place where her mother died, she's captured by Dr. Gideon, a former Umbrella researcher who worked on the Tyrant program. You can probably imagine where things go from there. Unlike Leon's years of zombie slaying, Grace's campaign shifts to a first-person perspective, encouraging you to hide, conserve resources, and avoid direct confrontations whenever possible. You can still charge in guns blazing, but I definitely wouldn't recommend it.

Despite offering two very different perspectives, Resident Evil Requiem makes both feel equally important. They deliver different kinds of intensity, but each works brilliantly. It's no surprise we gave it an 8/10 in our Resident Evil Requiem review.

As a big fan of the series, it's easily one of the best entries, or at the very least on par with Resident Evil 4. That's a bold claim, but it's one I think Requiem earns. Few horror games have scared me quite like this one.
