Choosing whether to let Anca use The Font or claim it for yourself in Blood of Dawnwalker is tough. On the one hand, you committed a lot of time to fighting your way through an ancient ruin and it'd be nice to have something to show for it. On the other hand, you've got Anca's fate to consider. This guide will contain spoilers for Anca's questline, plus the effect of this choice. All that said, here's the impact of each option.

Should you let Anca use The Font in Blood of Dawnwalker?

When you arrive in the chamber of The Font in Anca's Stronger Than Achilles quest, you'll find there's only enough tasty blood left for either you or Anca. You'll be given three choices:

• "If it's alright with you - I'll use it."
• "Go ahead. Make what you will with it."
• "We should destroy it."

I'll run through each decision and outcome below.

1. Coen uses The Font

If you use the blood yourself, you'll gain the Font of Life passive, which regenerates human health during the day. This is a pretty decent perk, especially when Witchcraft abilities cost HP, but it's worth noting there are plenty of other ways to heal as a human and via Witchcraft skills.

Anca will accept your choice, speculating that there are likely other ways she can rid herself of her curse somewhere in the world. It won't affect your immediate romance, which will occur just after this quest. However, this decision will eventually rear its head and ultimately impact Anca's fate.

2. Anca uses The Font

While you won't get the passive, or any reward, this is definitely the best outcome for Anca. The Font cleanses her of the curse, most notably scrubbing away all of the red sigils etched into her arm.

Anca's newfound happiness is reflected in the subsequent romance scene where you get additional dialogue, and it ultimately means the best eventual outcome for her character.

3. You destroy The Font

This is the worst decision of the three. After you tip over The Font, you discover a pair of fairly average legendary trousers underneath the altar. With the sheer amount of legendary armour available in Blood of Dawnwalker, this really isn't worth sacrificing Anca's happiness, or that powerful passive perk for.

However, it won't impact you romancing Anca, and the subsequent scenes will play out the same as if you used The Font yourself.
