MMO Solarpunk Loftia akan diluncurkan ke akses awal pada 3 November

How come the future in videogames is, more often than not, dark and gloomy? Where's the hope? Where's the optimism? It's all in Loftia, an MMO life sim with a delightfully cheery, eco-friendly aesthetic. And, as was just revealed at the PC Gaming Show Tokyo Direct, you'll be able to get your hands on it November 3.

For those of you not in the know, Loftia is an eco-optimism life sim MMO that's been in development for the last four years. You and other players inhabiting the world will each get your own floating island to call home, and you've got a bunch of sustainable ways to decorate and power your slice of sanctuary.

You can grow crops in cute hydroponic shelves, rescue animals, and go on adventures with other people. These aren't focused on combat, and will instead feature puzzles and platforming challenges. There are also community projects that everyone can join in on, so you can live out your commune dreams.

"We wanted a relaxing online world we could escape to with our friends—a third space with a welcoming community, things to do, and a home we could keep on coming back to." said Michael Su, co-founder and studio director of Qloud Games.

In the new trailer, we see a lot of the customisation on offer in Loftia. From your avatar, to your pets, to your home in the clouds, you can decorate pretty much everything. It also hints at the main point of friction that will be driving you forwards. Some world-ending event is coming, causing literal cracks in the sky islands, and it'll be down to you and everyone else to come together and figure out how to save your community.
