If you had to move to another planet in our solar system, which would you pick? Me, I'd go Neptune. I've always thought it's underrated, as our neighbours go, and it's a particularly pleasing shade of blue. I would die immediately due to cold and pressure, which I guess is a problem.

I guess that problem is why the stars of Young Suns, which just revealed a November 3 release date at the PC Gaming Show Tokyo Direct, have elected to set themselves up on Jupiter. They're having a pretty cosy time of it, too: the game is a 1-4 player life sim about building a home for yourself in space, setting up a comforting nook for yourself in a vessel drifting over the face of the newly liberated gas giant.

Jupiter, you see, is a free planet, and it has a whole future ahead of it. It's yours to explore—and your pals' too, if you want. Take your ship, head out to a station, ruin, or what-have-you, and plumb the depths on a hunt for stuff. Then use the stuff you find to help build tomorrow. It's an optimistic game for times that, dare I say it, sometimes feel a little less than optimistic. That's a noble goal, I think.

What we also got a good look at in the PCGS trailer, though, is the people rebuilding Jupiter with you. Whether you bring real-life pals with you or not, the planet's inhabited by a cast of characters who you can get to know in your career.

They'll hand out quests, follow routines and, most importantly, get very excited when you turn up for a chat. No cosy game is complete without a cast of NPCs to grow deeply attached to, and I'm eager to form a set of incredibly vivid and muscular opinions about the denizens of Jupiter.
