PC"It's been an interesting year": the jailed creator of Fortune's Run has passed parole and is back working on her Deus Ex-style FPS
Last January, the lead developer of very good immersive sim shooter Fortune's Run revealed that she was going to prison for three years, having been convicted of an unspecified violent crime several years prior. The game's early access development was put on hold as a consequence. A parole board has since reviewed Dizzie's case, however, and granted her release after roughly a year in the clink. She's now keen to start working on Fortune's Run once more. Read more

It's been over a decade since the last Heroes of Might & Magic game, and more than 25 since we set foot in the fantasy world of Enroth, the setting of the first three titles in the strategy series. So there is a lot riding on Heroes of Might & Magic: Olden Era, the reboot of the series from developers Unfrozen, backed both by a collaboration between Ubisoft and Hooded Horse, and the series' creator Jon Van Caneghem. Who better to tell if this venerable and cherished jewel within PC gaming's crow

ConsoleWith the right settings, Pragmata can hack it on the Steam Deck - more or less
Sci-fi dadblaster Pragmata is Capcom’s second smooth-running RE Engine game in two months, dishing out loads of ray-traced frames on muscular PCs while still running at a decent clip if you don’t quite meet all of its minimum system specs. But what happens when you dip even lower, down towards the realm of shared RAM and integrated graphics in which the Steam Deck resides? That’s mostly fine too. Probably didn’t need the dramatic buildup, did it. Read more

ConsoleAssassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced is "not an RPG", Ubisoft assure level-up haters in alleged leak that also spills the release date
Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynced will be a "solo adventure and character-driven experience" and very much "not an RPG", Ubisoft have reportedly stated in a leaked presentation that also gives away a release date – July 9th, 2026. It's not much to chew on, but it suggests that the Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag remake won't be embracing the elaborate equipment management, regional recommended levels, and other Final Fantasy-ass paraphernalia foisted on the series by Assassin's Creed O

Centuries ago, before 2022, before the Good Darkness of 2020, before the Before Times of 2015, the ancient age before even that of 2013, and perhaps, some fringe scholars suggest, even before the beginning of this sentence, there was Arcen Games. Read more

EventPhasmophobia is getting an Alan Wake 2 crossover event next month, which would be cool if it wasn't one time only
